Park Equine Hospital is a veterinary clinic situated on 25 acres of Kentucky Bluegrass in the city of Lexington. It is a full service equine facility consisting of climate controlled exam and treatment rooms surgical suites padded induction/recovery room 22 stalls (including isolation) and 8 paddocks. Services include surgery medicine ambulatory care reproduction sports medicine and podiatry. 24 hour emergency care is offered at both locations along with a full service laboratory and a pharmacy containing a drive through window. From its beginnings in 2001 Park Equine Hospital quickly grew in size and popularity within the local Winchester community. BiodiverSO - Biodiversità delle Specie Orticole della Puglia
Biodiversity represents the complex of communities of plants, animals and microorganisms that interact with humans and the environment, promoting the balance of the entire ecosystem. The BiodiverSO Biodiversity of Horticultural Species of Puglia project aims to reduce the extinction and genetic erosion of Apulian horticultural species. Puglia is in first place in Italy for the differentiation of processed horticultural species preserved and matured for a period of no less than twenty-five years. The Leccese sweet potato, the leaf cabbage (called "cole rizze"), the Polignano carrot, the Acquaviva red onion, the Catalogne chicory, the Regina tomato, the broccoli, the turnip greens and other crops make the Apulian biodiversity truly unique. A horticultural heritage that must be preserved for future generations. The genetic erosion of Apulian agricultural crops is underway as is their recovery. Enriching and promoting knowledge of Puglia's horticultural agrobiodiversity heritage means becoming aware of the essentiality of our genetic heritage. With the "BiodiverSO project" it is possible to contribute to the recovery of the endangered Apulian horticultural species through the new BiodiverSO app available for Android and iOS.
