Sonoma County Winegrowers
The Sonoma County Winegrape Commission also known as Sonoma County Winegrowers was established in 2006 as a marketing and educational organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Sonoma County as one of the world’s premier grape growing regions. SCW has oversight by California Department of Food and Agriculture which supports producer regions. With more than 1 800 growers SCWC’s goal is to increase awareness and recognition of the quality and diversity of Sonoma County’s grapes and wines through dynamic marketing and educational programs targeted to wine consumers around the world. In January 2014 SCW committed to becoming the nation’s first 100% sustainable winegrowing region by 2019.
Ter Laak Orchids
Quality Phalaenopsis in an environmentally-friendly manner. Ter Laak Orchids has been working with orchids since 1980. Our new modern pot plant nursery located at Middenzwet 23 in Wateringen covers an area of 82 500 m2. There is an extra tier of cultivation above the processing area. At 16 500 m2 this provides a large multi-use space. We produce four million Phalaenopsis plants of pot size 12 cm every year. We have a second location at Middenzwet 7 in Wateringen and this covers an area of 45 000 m2 . Sustainable business with respect for the environment and humankind is the basis of our management approach at Ter Laak Orchids. That’s why we’ve invested in the most modern techniques for our new location. The solar panels on our external screen are extremely innovative and the scale is unique in glasshouse horticulture. Those and our fully insulated glasshouse facades three internal screens heat and cold energy sources heat pump and cogeneration (CHP) with a flue gas cleaner have all led to energy savings and ultimately a reduction in CO2 emissions. Our level of quality is safeguarded by our Florimark certification. We also belong to Decorum Company a group of growers who supply various plants and flowers of the highest quality under the brand name Decorum Plants.

Glynwood’s mission is to save farming by strengthening farm communities and regional food systems. Our goal is for small- and mid-sized farmers to thrive on the land and in the marketplace. We have deep experience and expertise in working hands-on with communities to help them develop policies and infrastructure that support their farm economies and conserve their farmland. We understand the challenges of farming because we work our own land testing innovating and teaching techniques that demonstrate the economic viability of sustainable farming practices. Though our work has traditionally focused on the Northeast – particularly the Hudson Valley – our programs address challenges confronted by small and mid-sized farmers in similar agricultural regions nationwide. We are working to realize a vision – of a sustainable food system based on a revival of small and mid-sized farms and a revitalization of farm communities across the nation – of working farmscapes supporting energetic local economies – of consumers having ready access to fresh healthful food produced by local farmers who practice land stewardship and environmentally sustainable agriculture. Holland America Flower Connection serves wholesale and mass market customers with flowers greenery and custom market bouquets from both Holland America Farms in Woodland Washington and Arroyo Grande California. We specialize in lilies freesia tulips and peonies but grow a variety of seasonal flowers as well.
Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL)
Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) is one of only a handful of Canadian Dairy operations that manages and controls the milk picked up at the farm level and transports the milk to be processed packaged stored and distributed. ADL is owned by 220 Island Dairy producers who in turn supply the Co-op with its milk. ADL operates a cheese plant in Summerside PEI where 70% of the Island’s milk is processed. The ADL cheese plant manufactures over 25 different varieties of cheese and cheddar products. The main lines are cheddar and cheddar type cheese production and we do offer co-pack arrangements for local and national food distributors and retailers. We are also the largest cheese manufacturer and the most diverse dairy in Atlantic Canada. Our products includes; Cheddar Cheese Specialty Cheese Butter Milk Ice Cream Evaporated Milk and Sweetened Condensed Milk. The Cheese Evaporated Milk and Sweetened Condensed Milk plants are a modern federally inspected facilities; HACCP and British Retail Consortium (BRC) certified and can produce kosher products. ADL currently provides private label packaging opportunities to a wide range of customers. Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Limited known as Banas Dairy is a cooperative organization established in the year 1969 under the Gujarat Co-operative societies Act 1961 with the support of NDDB as a part of their Operation Flood Program launched to bring about white revolution in the country. Banas Dairy manufactures a large number of dairy products under AMUL SAGAR and BANAS brands. Buhle Farmers' Academy
Buhle is an NPO that trains new farmers from across South Africa. We opened our first training academy in the year 2000 with 57 students and have been growing steadily ever since training a record 517 students last year. We have now trained a total of over 4500 new farmers. Each of these graduates goes home to employ others on their farm which helps to create the jobs our country so desperately needs in the rural areas. Our experts in agricultural development have developed a best-practice model that is working well and ensuring our continued growth. We now have two training academies: one in Delmas Mpumalanga and the other which opened this year in Mkhondo (Piet Retief) KwaZulu-Natal. We look forward to further expanding our services across South Africa in our mission to help ensure food security and create livelihoods. Domaine du Ridge
Domaine du Ridge is one of the most important vineyards in Quebec. Located in St-Armand in the Brome-Missisquoi region, it was in the spring of 1996 that the owner decided to plant his first vines. These are planted in the north-south axis so that they can benefit from the sun all day long. The region benefits from the exceptional climatic influence of the Champlain Valley. Alternating between the heat of summer and the freezing weather of winter, the Quebec climate provides freshness, lightness and distinct aromas of the terroir. Claar Cellars
CLAAR CELLARS is our family owned Estate Winery. My parents Audrienne and Russell Claar developed the first farm in 1950 and planted the first grapes in 1980. Bob and I were both Active Duty Naval Officers when in 1983 he retired and I transferred into the Naval Reserve. Since then we have developed over 120 acres of premium vineyards. After 13 years of selling grapes to wineries throughout Washington as well as from New York to Mississippi to New Mexico and of being told of their unique taste and quality from numerous Winemakers we decided to take the steps necessary to become an Estate Winery. With the 1997 crush we became an Estate Winery processing and bottling all of our grapes in our own 10 000 square foot facility. In 1999 we added a 4 000 square foot Temperature and Humidity controlled Barrel Building and in 2012 a 10 000 square foot case-good storage facility all of which are heated and cooled through ground water and excess heat produced by the glycol tank cooling system. We have award-winning Premium wines including: Riesling Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc Syrah Sangiovese and newly planted Pinot Gris Viognier Malbec and Petite Sirah.
