ZephIR Lidar
ZephIR Lidar provides hub height and turbine mounted wind measurements for wind energy and meteorological applications onshore and offshore with leading wind lidar products ZephIR 300 and ZephIR DM. With more than 7.5 million hours of operation in the field and over 750 deployments (and counting) we have pioneered the use of lidar in the wind industry with many world firsts including upwind measurements from a turbine nacelle turbine wake studies offshore deployments both fixed and floating an industry-accepted validation process re-financing and re-powering a wind farm technology accuracy demonstration in a wind tunnel and total project financing. ZephIR 300 is used for remote wind profiling extensively through the pre-planning / scoping planning development construction and operational phases of a wind energy project in combination with short met masts and tall met masts and associated cup anemometers roaming during site-prospecting stand-alone in replacement of a met mast and as a fixed reference control mast. ZephIR DM (Dual Mode) is mounted in the spinner / on the nacelle or hub of a wind turbine generator in horizontal mode or immediately in front of the wind turbine generator in vertical mode for yaw misalignment turbine calibrations End of Warranty inspections power curve measurements (absolute and relative) R&D projects and full turbine control. Each and every system is validated at the IEC compliant UK Remote Sensing Test Site in accordance to a industry-accepted process. DNV GL considers ZephIR 300 accepted for use in bankable / finance-grade wind speed and energy assessments with either no or limited on-site met mast comparisons in benign conditions. Ecofys considers ZephIR 300 as suitable for field measurements as a replacement of cup anemometers in flat terrain.

ECARE The Egyptian Center for Alternative and Renewable Energy
Egypt has more than 30 millions of tons of agriculture crops residues that are still not utilized. Most of these agriculture crop residues are disposed of in local landfills or dumped illegally in the fields causing over impacts to public health safety and the environment. The Egyptian Center for Alternative and Renewable Energy (ECARE) offers a positive alternative. We focus on using these organic residues for the production of wood and agro pellets as a solid biofuel for generating sustainable energy and for supplying the industrial sector needs from energy. (ECARE) implements the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility in all its business activities. The economic feasibility the environmental and social sustainability of projects are studied in detail. (ECARE) utilizes biomass from organic residue flows only. Its activities do not result in competition with existing forms of land use nor with food production.
