Valorsul is the company responsible for the treatment and recovery of about 900 thousand tons of municipal waste produced per year in 19 municipalities of Lisbon and in the western region of Portugal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A área de intervenção representa menos de 4% da área do país mas trata e valoriza 20% de todos os resíduos urbanos produzidos em Portugal. Esta grande quantidade de resíduos é tratada e valorizada através de um moderno Sistema de Gestão Integrada apropriado à composição dos resíduos urbanos produzidos. O que para o cidadão já não tem valor e é deitado fora na Valorsul transforma-se em recurso em matéria prima que se pode transformar numa nova embalagem em eletricidade composto para a agricultura ou em agregado para a construção rodoviária.
